At Sharpe Optometry, we combine our extensive skills with the most recent technology, such as Retinal Photo Imaging, to provide our patients with the best eye health care available.
What is Retinal Photo Imaging?
Retinal Photo imaging uses a computer-integrated digital system to collect detailed images of your retina. These images can assist your optometrist in detecting and managing a variety of eye health issues, including:
- Diabetic changes
- Macular Degeneration
- Hypersensitive Retinopathy
- Glaucoma & other diseases of the posterior pole
Aside from helping with the detection and management of eye health issues, retinal photographs are also a highly useful reference point for future comparisons.
Who needs a Retinal Photo Imaging test?
This test is highly recommended for all patients, but it is especially important for individuals with a history of high blood pressure, retinal disease, diabetes, flashing lights, strong eyeglass prescriptions and decreased vision.
